Mikhail is a 61-year-old man and is one among the many poor. He used to sleep anywhere until one day he rose as the boss of a ghost company. His dream as a businessman didn’t last long though. Whoever made him so have disappeared along with all the papers – just like ghosts. When reality has returned to the man, he suddenly woke up as a delinquent.
Many other Moldovans have followed the footprints of Mikhail. They sold their identities to a gang of criminals who were laundering dirty money. Their ghost companies are culpable for 37 million lei in tax evasions. The head of the gang is a prospering businessman who controls a number of firms for electronics sales.
